Poor quality whetstones have many disadvantages. One of them often seems to be that they only remove heavy metal from a blade. If you grind several kitchen knives in a row on it, you should not use your finger as a spacer to the stone to maintain the angle. The stone is wet and cold, you won't notice if your finger is also being "sharpened" and at some point you'll just wonder what brown-reddish streaks suddenly appear to be coming out of the water stone. 🙄

La pierre à aiguiser 15000 en nitrure de bore cubique c'est quand même top pour aiguiser les aciers très durs, comme cette lame en M390.

Then Mr. Angle Sharpener got to work, because this blade was beyond anything a little stroking with a whetstone could fix.

Cuts properly again. The wheel drive doesn't engage, but then I don't use that anyways so it's not high on the to-fix list.

Inherited lawn mower. Runs, but somewhat neglected and the blade is as sharp as the current joke of a US president.

Can't get the bolt open even at the 300 Nm setting, so I'm leaving it to soak in letgo spray while having food and coffee :)

I got my water stones out a couple of weeks ago to tune up my knife and then a straight razor. After dialing in the bevel on the straight razor and getting a lot of experience with these stones, I went back and took another pass at the knife.

I've never had a kitchen knife so sharp before. Apparently I handle the bevel a lot? I've accidentally cut myself twice today.
