Cleaning up some old accounts I never use. It's amazing how many accounts you can collect over the years and just forget about them.
Why is it that the dialogue you have to run through to delete your unwanted account is often vaguely threatening, like: "You'll lose access", "You won't receive notices..." etc...
To all that BS I say, "Uh ya, that's why I want to close my account!!"

I have a neighbour who's ... a proto-Karen, I guess? She was almost certainly a challenge to those around her many years before that term was popularized, anyway.
She complains bitterly about the jackrabbit poop when the snow melts. I told her once that it was good fertilizer for the lawn underneath, and she yelled back at me "NO IT ISN'T!"

Getting various quotes for fixing stuff at home. All good. First response. Find your original & attach a copy as a pdf. Seriously? Take a photo, convert to pdf, & attach to email, or assume I have a scanner? 🤦
Yes, yes, it's not hard. I can do it, I have experience, software & know-how, but seriously? Why? Why not just attach the photo I just took? If you want a pdf, *you* convert it, don't expect your customers to be able to do it. We're not your IT dept.
Ok quite honestly, I am getting #aiFatigue. But not because it's everywhere, because its haters and detractors are everywhere in my current echo chamber of a social network.
Am I pro-AI? I honestly don't know. It helps from time to time, it also has a lot of problems, costs way too much energy and probably single-handedly pushes climate change along. This is bad.
But what's also bad is constantly spitting acid about #ai. I see sentiments like " If AI was so great, we'd see more people liking it!". No you wouldn't. Everybody sees all this pushback and will think three times before posting anything that's actually positive AI to make sure the contra-AI linchmob doesn't decide to " uhm well actually" them out of existence. Systemic change, sure, many voices form a crowd, fantastic, but for a place that is supposed to be open and individual, we're awfully decided on hating anyone who uses this technology into the ground. #sheesh
