As a very disabled person, I can't work a "regular" job. And due to the actions of one of my abusers, I can't currently get SSDI either. Also, I'm engaged, so I'd lose my benefits upon marriage anyway. So my main source of income is my knitting. I am an artisan and I sell my knits at prices that barely reflect the value of the labor. As an anti-capitalist, I strongly resent having to mimic capitalist structures to survive, but it's my only option currently.

In this black and white photo one can see the Lighthouse is a little weathered from Hurricane Ian but it still stands watch. I did take the liberty of fixing one of the missing shutters so that it appear whole. Built in 1890 the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse was used to safely guide ships into the Charlotte Harbor. The lighthouse is an iron screw pile design with a wood frame. When lit it is visible from up to 12 miles away.
