𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): We see this colorful crane fly sitting with its long limbs on a plant that in English is commonly known as cleavers, among other many names, and that is about to bloom. The general tone of the photograph is green, because of the wild plants, but the crane fly has a yellow body with black spots, and it also has black compound eyes and long legs.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Vemos esta colorida típula posada con sus larguísimas extremidades sobre una planta que en español se conoce comúnmente Amor del Hortelano, entre otros muchos nombres, y que está a punto de florecer. El tono general de la fotografía es verde, por las plantas silvestres, pero la típula tiene el cuerpo amarillo con manchas negras, y también tiene negros los ojos compuestos y las largas patas.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A yellow spotted crane fly perches on the stems of wild plants, possibly grasses or other species. The crane fly is positioned diagonally, due to the plants' slanted stems, and stands out for its color and its extremely long, black limbs.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Una típula de color amarillo con manchas negras se encarama a los tallos de unas plantas silvestres, posiblemente gramíneas u otras especies. La típula esta colocada en diagonal, debido a que los tallos de las plantas están inclinados, y destaca por su colorido y por sus larguísimas extremidades negras.

Estamos en primavera, así que ¿por qué no flores? En concreto 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): Square-format image with a bee-eater as the main focus. The bird is perched with its back to a branch, but turns its head, revealing a juicy prey, a moth, in its long beak. The bee-eater is one of Europe's most colorful birds, with a wide range of striking colors: orange, iridescent green, red, yellow, black, and white. Also notable are its red eyes, elongated, curved beak, and long, narrow tail.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Imagen de formato cuadrado con un abejaruco como principal protagonista. El ave está posada de espaldas en una rama, pero vuelve la cabeza y vemos que lleva en su largo pico una jugosa presa, una polilla. El abejaruco es una de las aves más coloridas de Europa, con una amplia combinación de colores muy llamativos: anaranjados, verdes irisados, rojos, amarillos, negros y blancos. Muy notorios son también sus ojos rojos, su pico largo y curvo, y su prolongada y estrecha cola.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): We see four Common Moorhen chicks clumsily waddling across a steep slope. They must be just a few days old, covered in fluffy black down, from which protrude disproportionately large legs for their size; also their red beaks and almost bald heads with bulging eyes. These chicks are funny and grotesque, but, at the same time, tender and cute.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Vemos cuatro polluelos de Gallineta Común caminando torpemente por una superficie muy inclinada. Deben tener pocos días, están cubiertos de un plumón negro muy esponjoso del que sobresalen unas patas desproporcionadamente grandes para su tamaño; también sus piquitos rojos y unas cabecitas casi calvas con ojos muy saltones. Estos polluelos son divertidos y grotescos, pero, al mismo tiempo, lindos y adorables.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): It's a high-key image, dominated by whites and some hints of black. It shows a pied avocet swimming, with its characteristic black and white coloration and long, dark, upward-curved beak. The waters are also white, due to the reflections of a clear cloudy sky and the high-key effect applied during the photographic processing.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Es una imagen en clave alta, por lo tanto, con dominio de blancos y algunos toques de negro. Se ve a una avoceta nadando, con su característica coloración blanquinegra y su largo y oscuro pico curvado hacia arriba. Las aguas son de color blanco, también, debido a los reflejos de un cielo nuboso claro y a la clave alta aplicada en el revelado fotográfico.

- 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐳𝐨 (𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘴). En el Hide del Bebedero del Pinar una pareja de corzos vino a saciar su sed y, de paso, nos dieron una agradable sorpresa. Como se ve en la imagen, el corzo barruntaba nuestra presencia, aún así, estuvieron tiempo suficiente para poder tomar alguna fotografía.

The roe deer looks suspiciously toward an area where a photographer was hiding, but it doesn't quite see her, so it doesn't flee, although it is wary.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Un corzo fotografiado a contraluz junto a un bebedero al que ha acudido durante la tarde de un cálido verano en la Meseta Castellana. El corzo mira receloso hacia una zona donde estaba escondida una fotógrafa, pero no acaba de verla, por lo que no huye, aunque se muestra muy cauteloso.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A female Northern Wheatear perched on the top of a espalier support used for tutoring vines. As we saw it in early April, we assume this intrepid little bird recently arrived from sub-Saharan Africa and is about to begin building her nest for laying eggs.

Como estamos a principios del mes de abril, suponemos que este intrépido pajarito no hace mucho que ha llegado del África Subsahariana y se dispone a iniciar la construcción de su nido para la puesta.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A robin, seen in three-quarters against a reddish-brown background, rests on an old, moldy, and characteristic perch. The little bird raises its tail in a very characteristic yet charming pose. We don't see its chest, but we do see part of its face and throat, with their beautiful rust color, bordered by a band of gray feathers. The first picture is a cropped detail of the second photography.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Un petirrojo visto en tres cuartos contra un fondo castaño rojizo, descansa sobre un posadero viejo, mohoso y con carácter. El pajarito eleva su cola en una pose muy característica y, a la vez, encantadora. No vemos el pecho, pero si parte de la cara y de la garganta, con su hermoso color teja, bordeadas por una banda de plumas grises. La primera imagen es un detalle recortado de la segunda foto.
