G**gle se pone verde – Go Green.
Dentro de las mil cosas que lleva adelante el gigante de la búsquedas, tienen una herramienta de diseño llamada SketchUp que está dando mucho juego en estudios de arquitectura e ingeniería (a ver cuando sacan una versión para Linux y se convierte en punta de lanza para el CAD libre que está muy cojo).
Bueno a lo que iba, dentro de las mil cosas una más. Go Green donde tratan de centralizar un montón de información de arquitectura, energía solar y herramientas de análisis de eficiencia energética para utilizar desde el propio SketchUp.
En el aparatado de arquitectura no podía faltar un clásico de las viviendas sostenibles, prefabricadas y modulares como Michelle Kaufmann Designs (MKD), actualmente con nueva web Michelle Kaufmann Studio, de la que ya hemos hablado aquí [1 y 2].
Michelle Kaufmann publicó en su momento de mayor éxito un libro interesante para todos los que busquéis ideas e información sobre construcción prefabricada y ecológica.

Everyone who uses #SketchUp knows about #FaceMe objects, a near-zero poly 2D image that rotates to match your viewpoint. The drawbacks are that they are flat when you look from the top and distorted from other aerial views.
So, why not use 360 VR but in a hemispherical way, where an object is represented by a series of images based on the angle of the shot, and depending on the angle of view, the image changes to align to the nearest matching angle. Add alpha to cast shadows.
