Cold and dull is the sky
which carries himself gently,
for below him a body does lie
and observes with a sunken face
the clouds weep and ask why.

Soon, oh so soon,
the wailing snow cries out;
Blackthorn trees are yet to bloom,
but your eyes whisper lifeless.

Fallen frigid tears bury
this exhausted empty vessel
to conceal the pain and fury
of an existance that never began
with an end in a hurry.

Time passes and the corpse is damp
in where it lays —
a kind wind speaking the Cant
to bid friendly farewell
for the bodyless tramp —
consumed by upset snow.

The R560 Conor Pass has a dusting of snow and has become quite slippy - travel to Dingle via Annascaul on the N86.

We were feeling a little left out with the lack of snow in Dublin so took a spin up to @SaveTheHellfire where there was still lots on the ground - enough to build a snowman!

I got a chance to mispronounce #sneachta for a nice child in a bookstore today.
