Back from a hike in the woods, a really slow one today. It looked very interesting how the trees just a bit more uphill were covered in hoarfrost and shined bright white in the sun, while the trees a bit lower were just dark green and brown.

Back from a hike in the woods. We're now at about 40cm of snow. I didn't use my snowshoes because the blisters on the heels from the last time haven't fully healed yet... Tried to find more or less cleared tracks, which worked quite well except for 2 segments with deep snow.

I didn't expect I would put on my old, worn-out hiking boots (which are tearing apart at the sides slightly and are far from waterproof any more) in December, but we got 8°C and a clear blue sky today, no snow left at all, so I went with it - and it wasn't even a bad decision.
