Haven't tied flies in a couple of months. Need something visible for murky water this week. These are #8 partridge patriot single hooks. The wing is squirrel tail. The marabou "beard" is inspired by the classic steelhead fly heron hackle. I will pinch the barbs and clip the dangling thread when the head cement is dry.

Three hand made fly fishing lures all sharing the same pattern. The body is a magenta yarn with a gold wire spiral wrap. The wing is made from squirrel tail hair, which is v light at the top. The "beard is long wispy brown marabou feather barbs.
