Pierre de Fécondité (Camlez): A 1.5m tall stele near Chapelle Saint Nicolas, Bretagne. Something a bit different - using 3D Gaussian Splats for creating art.

This started out as a Pictish standing stone up around Loch Kinord, Aberdeenshire. I took a video walking around it. Made a Gaussian Splat at some length. Found an interesting view where the splat artefacts look like a view through the surrounding tree foliage. Finished the tone processing in Luminar Neo.

The Gogar Stone at Easter Norton Farm, just outside the west of Edinburgh. Hidden from view beyond the stone in the first image lies Edinburgh airport.

The stone is quite small, probably no more than about 3 feet high and about 18" across at its widest point.

A relatively small standing stone in a ploughed field, with only the yellowing stubble of the crop remaining. The stone is angular and around 3 feet high. Behind the stone is the far off horizon with a line of trees, and a sky almost completely devoid of clouds.

On a rather wet group walk this morning we passed this carved stone, a "recent monument". I didn't even know it existed.

I didn't know #StandingStoneSunday was a thing, but since it's Sunday and I saw some standing stones today, it's perfect timing !

I was walking up to Leith Hill (Surrey, UK) when I saw a field with (at least) 3 large standing stones. The field was private so I couldn't walk up to the stones themselves.

I have no idea when these stones date from - if anyone has any ideas, let me know I'm curious !

Un plan large du menhir de Bissin, montrant son environnement immédiat : un champ cultivé avec, en arrière plan, des arbres. Le menhir s'élève de façon solitaire au milieu du champ (mais est cadré vers la droite de la photo). Il s'agit d'une pierre grise, de forme parfaitement menhiroïdale.
