My first #lily of the season to #bloom

This is a top-down, close-up shot of a vibrant pink and white stargazer lily, blooming in a dark pot. The flower is the central and dominant subject.

The six petals are a deep, rich fuchsia or magenta pink in the center, gradually fading to a crisp white at their edges. Each pink section of the petals is adorned with numerous small, dark burgundy or black speckles, giving the flower a freckled appearance.

In the very center of the bloom, several prominent stamens with elongated, reddish-brown anthers extend outwards, surrounding a lighter, possibly yellow or greenish pistil. The anthers appear to be covered in pollen.

The background is softly blurred, showing hints of green foliage from the plant itself and possibly other plants, along with the dark rim of the pot. The lighting appears natural, highlighting the colors and details of the flower.

Space: the final frontier... or at least, a rather smashing view from the beautiful Serra do Elefante here in Minas Gerais!

My trusty Samsung S23+'s first mission, you see: to boldly point at the heavens and have a good go at this astrophotography lark. My very first crack at it, and I must say, I'm quite chuffed with how these starry snaps turned out, even with those clouds gallivanting across the sky!

Loads to learn, naturally, but utterly hooked and keen to crack on for the next clear night. Beam me up!
