#statamic

@mariohamann @mandrasch @statamic Haha #statamic would have been my response as well! Been using it for some time now, didn't miss any other CMS ever since.

@davidgerard if I had a complete collection of images, I would roll my own using #11ty and the Image plugin, outputting to AVIF and WEBP.

11ty.dev/docs/plugins/image/

If I had a continually growing collection of images that I intended to manage over time (but still deploy as a static site), I would run #Statamic in SSG mode locally in a docker container.

These solutions are "BYO Frontend," and the equivalent of using a bazooka to kill a mouse.

#introduction

I make websites. Sometimes I toot about it.
#eleventy #webc #php #statamic #laravel #tailwindcss #alpinejs uhhh whatever #sql and I guess #nginx #docker and all that crap all the way down. #fullstack

I play RPGs with friends. Sometimes I toot about it.
#ttrpg #dnd #pathfinder #5e #pf2e

I am my group's sysadmin. Sometimes I toot about it.
#selfhosted #plex #lemmy #mastodon #pihole and throw some darts at selfh.st and you catch the rest.

Hot takes, bad jokes, etc.

Dear PHP followers: Please don't give up on me. It's been a tough few months in Canada, and our election is tomorrow. I am hoping to get away from political posts as the month progresses. I'll keep posting about #buycanadian #boycottusa, and will revert to using Warnings on those.

In the mean time, those here with #Statamic experience and time? An old non-techy collegue reached out to say he is desprate for help on his site. Could I put him in touch with someone?

#php #laravel #symfony

πŸŽ‰ Published my first #Statamic addon to directly import assets from #Figma into the CMS:
statamic.com/addons/mariohaman

That was fun – @statamic! :)

πŸ§‘β€πŸ³ Currently cooking: Import assets from #Figma to #Statamic.

Looking forward to (very soon) releasing my first addon for @statamic πŸš€

Thanks to a recommendation by @palmiak, I have just added comments to my static #Statamic site marcelbootsman.nl, with the use of giscus, an Open Source GitHub commenting system, maintained by @laymonage.

It feels like everything I do with works while everything I do with doesn't

I feel like building responsive navbars is harder than it looks

Since I'm used to it's always a little bit of a pain to develop a non-flat-file app. With Statamic it's so easy to keep local and prod in sync and I love that. Missing that every time when doing database stuff

There is a thing that I ❀️ about Gutenberg. You can select text and paste a link - this will convert this selected text into a link.

That's something I missed in #Statamic for a while. So, using Claude, I managed to make a working prototype.

My packages on just reached 10k+ downloads πŸŽ‰ Feels good to have built something that seems to be actually useful to some people ☺️

The image is a screenshot from the Packagist website, displaying a list of Statamic add-ons published by the user. Each package entry includes the name, description, programming language (PHP), number of downloads, and star ratings. The layout follows Packagist's standard design, with package names in bold orange text, followed by descriptions in black text. Download counts and star ratings appear on the right side. Some packages include descriptions, while others do not.

I always add this to my #statamic websites. The muscle memory to visit wp-admin is just too strong :D

BTW - would you be interested in an addon that would add redirects to other CMS admin panels?

Great to get v1.2.0 of Supersonic, our command palette for #statamic out of the door today. Adding a bit of polish and the ability to search for content across collections.

How do you do GDPR compliant backups of your flat file sites? Git automation doesn't work for us because data is transferred outside the EU. Currently using @spatie backup package to backup to and gitignore some folders. Works but wondering how others handle it

Hey, #statamic users/developers from Poland πŸ‘‹

I'm thinking a bit about organizing a Statamic meetup. To do so, first I need to learn if there are enough of us to even do it and from which cities are you located πŸ™οΈ

Please RT for a bigger reach. Thanks.
