I built a PC last autumn, bizarrely close to the specs of the Steam Machine so it should last me a while. I checked the current RAM prices and the set I got has tripled in value since then. Very lucky I built it when I did. I still wanna get a Steam Frame to replace the Meta Quest 3S. Fingers crossed it's not too painful.

I'll say it again. For the #SteamMachine to succeed it will need streaming apps in the store. It will need to make it easy for normal users to go find them and install them.

Heck. If my 10+ year old Nvidia Shield can still run streaming apps well, so can the Steam Machine. For some it can be the only set top box they will need if this is the case.

@andymoose @FuturisticRobert the closest to "excitement" I've experienced was when #Valve did a #Trifecta of new #devices without any mention of "#AI" but instead outlying with the #SteamMachine:

Ok it's not perfect but I got a sofabaton remote to work with the steam interface. I still need to wake my computer from sleep by pressing the powerbutton but at least I can navigate all of the UI with a remote now so I can watch TV normally. I thnk this is good enough to replace my AppleTV now. But I will probably end up getting the steam machine when it releases just for that improved living room TV experience.
