@hk I'm in the same boat. Bought the game in 2023 with some recommended DLC, spent 5h and gave up. It's a great game but it's also complex and overwhelming, there is no clear path of progression and (too) many choices. Watching people playing #Stellaris on Twitch at high speed is weird, I have no idea what's going on 😂
I didn't have the patience for that at that time but would love to give it another go some day. There are some good beginners guides on Youtube that I found easier to follow than lengthy written guides because they also explain what's actually important, what's common practice and what can be ignored for now. It's worth noting that the game went trough many iterations and some older guides might be outdated.

Also playing our Linuxian race in #Stellaris was a lot of fun, albeit hard to wrap my head around certain concepts that play different than other origins.
I love that people behind #Stellaris seem to be in "let's not stop with this game until we've put all the sci-fi 'what-ifs' in" mode.
Really enjoyed stellaris 4.0 the last few days. Buggy as hell though. Shouldn't have been released in that state.
However, I have loved all the new content and the sheer thrill of wondering how long I can keep my economy from crashing due to not understanding the ins and out of the new economic system 😅
