'Steven Universe: Lars of the Stars': Prime Video Announces Sequel Series!! #StevenUniverse, #LarsoftheStars, #PrimeVideo
LARS TREK Y OTROS VIAJES: Cartoon Network Studios celebro su cuarto de siglo en el Festival de Annecy, con varios anuncios, entre los que se destaca el spin-off de #StevenUniverse llamado #StevenUniverseLarsOfTheStars.
La serie está protagonizada por Lars Barriga, amigo de Steven, que ahora es capitán de una nave pirata que "contrabandea, evade a las autoridades, y descubre los secretos más oscuros del caído Imperio Gema". La creadora de Steven Universe, Rebecca Sugar, será productora ejecutiva junto a su esposo Ian Jones-Quartey, creador de "OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes".
Otras secuelas o spin-offs anunciados fueron Adventure Time Side Quests (o más bien, avances del opening, la serie ya se conocía), una serie de Regular Show sin título, una nueva temporada de Gumball bajo el título The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, y una versión para preescolares de Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friend.
La secuela de Regular Show está a cargo de su creador, JG Quintel, al igual que la nueva Foster's con Craig McCracken, quien aseguró que a pesar de ser dirigido a los más pequeños, esta no es necesariamente una serie educativa. El humor será lo prioritario, algo que fue enfatizado por un clip donde se mostró a Bloo enseñándole a otros amigos imaginarios que nunca hay que confiar en los adultos, porque te obligan a hacer cosas como comer broccoli.
No todo son secuelas, porque Quintel además compartió avances de su futura serie juvenil Super Mutant Magic Academy, basado en el comic homónimo de Jillian Tamaki. Como el título sugiere, la serie es algo a mitad de camino entre X-Men y Harry Potter.

"Lars of the Stars" was a cool name, I didn't believe for any second that it was going to be used only for one episode.
