The family went to #StokeOnTrent #Pride today. I wore a skirt, because it was hot and it's one of the few places I feel confident I'll not get grief over it.
But we went to a local cafe for lunch first, and I did wonder how they would react. I'm happy to report that they didn't. They were as lovely as they always are.
Two signs in the parade made me cry, though. One had a picture of David Lynch with the text "Fix your hearts or die". The other said "The prime minister has let us down" on one side and "Screw the supreme court" on the other.
Plus, our local Mermaids branch raised £132.
