Not that #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds needs any more heteronormative relationship arcs; but it struck me today that it's always been a shame that the Kirk + Carol Marcus thing has always existed off screen.
AND I wouldn't hate a romcom with Paul Wesley's Kirk. Maybe as a movie, or mini series, or maybe webisodes. #StarTrek #STSNW
I'm not inclined to watch ST anime, but I'd watch a live-action Lower Decks!
(yup, that was a great episode!)
I'm watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and this latest season is a huge disappointment. I haven't looked at whether there's another season in the works but I'd be surprised to see this show continue. The writers are just phoning it in, reusing old plot lines from previous series at almost every turn. And why are the writers so addicted to dancing? Please stop this. Yes I know in TNG Beverly was a dancer. But this is beyond tolerable. It isn't Star Trek. Awful. #STSNW
In better news, I'm also watching the new season of #Peacemaker and holy hell, has this show hit its stride. It is fantastically entertaining. Highly recommend. #tv #scifi
Captain Christopher Pike and Commander Pelia on their way to meet Spock and Nurse Chapel at a burlesque show tonight.
The only #Kirk I want to talk about is #JamesTKirk and the #STSNW finale! Wow!!!
The sets and costumes are amazing as well. 🖖🏻

2. No species would be culturally monolithic. I realize that when you only see a handful of members of a new species then you'll get limited insight. But for Vulcans (and Klingons too) we should see many more that aren't one-dimensional stereotypes. We saw a bit of that In Enterpise with the finding of Surak's katra but not since.
Doug is representative of that cultural depth we should be seeing in Vulcans instead of the usual clones..
Doug the Vulcan is more believable than Pike et. al. as Vulcans.
1. Sure they were turned into biological Vulcans but where did they get the decades of training that Vulcan children and young adults go through to get that much control?
TV Q&A: Did a writer with Pittsburgh ties slip a reference to @primantibros into an episode of @StarTrek #STSNW @StarTrekOnPPlus ? via @triblive https://triblive.com/aande/movies-tv/tv-qa-did-a-pittsburgh-writer-name-star-trek-planet-after-primanti-bros/
So, I'm binging ST:SNW season 3 (waiting for the lunar eclipse to start), and can I please ask the world of sci-fi writers, both book and screenplay, to give serious consideration to SEAT BELTS???
It's one thing the latest ST movies got right.
I'm enjoying the show, but if one more impact sends the whole damned bridge crew skittering across the floor I'm going to scream!
I can accept exploding consoles, and even sparks falling from an apparently short-circuiting ceiling tile, but ... SEAT BELTS!!!
I love Ethan Peck's Spock on Strange New Worlds. The one thing I'd like to see him work on is improving the intelligibility of his speech. He over-enunciates some words in a way that Spock clearly would in his youth, but sometimes he speaks so quickly and his words run together in a jumble, such that he is the only reason I have to backtrack and turn on subtitles. Which seems like a non-Spock thing to do.
i mean, srsly i’m been followin along on brev new wurlds #stsnw, a whall now, but im kinda awe struck that jeb bush (the former president’s brother) is in the show.
haven’t seen him so far, but lookin forward to seein him.
