Summer is relieved to be home after an hour at the doctor's office.
Overall the vet says she is healthy and a beautiful dog.
Summer was perfectly behaved and I was a most proud dog mom.
Unfortunately, she needs to drop a few pounds. I blamed it on my baking. Not Summer's fault. She is up to 75 pounds.
She also has a mild ear infection so we secured medication for the next five days and a swimming restriction until it clears up.
I also agreed to a blood test because it has been two years.
The vet says she always explains to dog owners why it is a good idea to compare her blood work periodically.
I told her that she doesn't need to sell me on anything for Summer because she is a family member and we will always do whatever needs to be done even if it means we don't do something else.
We love this dog.

A rocky footpath winds through a forest of stunted pines and ground-hugging leafy shrubs along the crest of a mountain. We are inside of a cloud. The sky is bright white and fog shrouds the treetops. A thin reddish soil of decaying pine needles coats much of the exposed gray rock.

Distraction time for Summer.
She does love retrieving toys up and down the stairs.
She is a blur.
In the end she hordes all the toys at the top.
I do ask her to return every toy to her basket so we don't leave any tripping hazards.
She brings them down one by one.
This little exercise makes her so happy.

It’s the bright light of summer I live for. If I lived in a more northerly latitude, there would be even more light. I recall summer nights in western Michigan when it stayed light until 10:00 p.m.
