I am old enough to remember when there were no surcharges on debit and credit cards.

Somehow, businesses didn’t go bankrupt.

Perhaps the owners were smarter then and knew how to calculate the cost of doing business and set prices accordingly.

PS. Weren’t businesses having a whinge recently about the cost of moving cash around?

Dans un rapport de 128 pages, l'UCTE explique le phénomène. Mais la part d'énergies renouvelables, donc non contrôlées, rend le partage difficile avec celles contrôlées que sont l'hydraulique et le nucléaire.

fees on #square #EFTPOS #payments is 1.9% so put that for #surcharge (google for steps, it isn't obvious) or it is very hard to calculate the correct percentage surcharge so customer pays full amount plus surcharge - it is cheaper with a subscription at 1.6% but for me with low sales it is not worth paying for a subscription of $49/mth for that - #cash is so much easier as it has no fees and works when technology is down - just in remote parts there are no ATMs or shops with EFTPOS to get #cash so #EFTPOS with its fees is the main way to accept payment via #creditcards or #debitcards

From AY 2025-26, no surcharge will apply on the following for any status (including firms, LLPs, foreign companies):

• Interest from securities [Sec 115AD(1)(i)] – Specified Fund
• Dividend income [Sec 115AD(1)(i)] – Specified Fund

Earlier, surcharge was applicable to firms, LLPs, and foreign companies. Not anymore.
