A Little Outing with Cleo - Part 2

The neighborhood was thankfully quiet and the short walk to the park was uneventful. Surprisingly it seemed no one was around.

When they got there Snow was shocked to see the size of the playground equipment. Slides, teeter-totters and swings that looked like the ones for cubs but scaled up for adults – including a giant swing chair like those for babies.

“Wh…why would they have that?”

“For big baby bears like you! Now lets get you strapped in”.

Cleo’s strength soon had Snow swinging high and at the peak of his swing he noticed the park was no longer empty, and he seemed to be the center of attention for many of them.

This morning, I am listening something a little different for me, the electro swing sound of Caravan Palace's album Gangbuster Medlody Club.

While I love my rock, I really do need more music you can dance to in my collection, & Carvan Palace has long been a favorite even if I don't listen to much swing these days. (I did have a swing phase in high school.)

Though this is maybe bad before work music.

of course it's worse than that because it's keyboard layout sensitive. us and british have = and shift for plus, but not necessarily the case elsewhere.

these keystrokes are almost a standard ui language these days, to zoom in and out, make text bigger/smaller etc. there must be a better way! #java #swing

oh #java #swing. you can have a cmd-plus accelerator on a menu item, and it works, but you can't have it show the right shortcut for the accelerator. (ie: you have to use cmd-equals, because plus is a shift key. so it shows as ⌘ =, not ⌘ +

or you can make it *show* ⌘ +, but it doesn't work, because that actually maps to the numpad add key.

think the answer probably to put the latter in the menu *and* have the former as a hidden global key event handler somewhere
