Over 70 countries banned paraquat; it remains legal in US. #EnvironmentalProtectionAgency banned use on #golf courses but allows on crops.
Most US paraquat comes from China & UK—both banned paraquat’s use in their countries.

El gobierno federal deja de cobrar 158 mil millones de reales [u$s 29.260 millones] por año en impuestos federales del agronegocio, lo que equivale al presupuesto del Bolsa Familia [plann social] y beneficia principalmente a multinacionales que lucran con la exportación. En total, según información ofrecidas poe las propias empresas y divulgadas por la Receta Federal [Agencia Federal de Impuestos de Brasil], las exenciones de impuestos que benefician directamente a las agropecuarias y a la agroindustria sumaron 158,17 mil millones de reales en 2024.

Aun así, fui elegida la cuarta periodista más admirada en la categoría de audiotexto. Y por eso, agradezco a todas, todos, todes, que votaron por mí. Y por respeto a quienes votaron por mí y a los lectores de mis reportajes y artículos a lo largo de 37 años de periodismo, debo posicionarme. Y como saben, siempre lo hago.
Cuando anunciaron mi renuncia al premio, dijeron que lo había rechazado por «motivos personales» debido al «apoyo que recibí». Debemos respetar la verdad. Y las razones se explican claramente en este video.

"Haitian farmers are now burning donated Monsanto seeds. In India, thousands of farmers committed suicide after switching from traditional seeds to genetically modified seeds. In Chiapas, Mayan farmers have refused to use the seeds which damaged heritage seed stock. Cross pollination from genetically modified seeds can endanger crops from ancient seed stock in the region.
"#Navajos have long planted century-old corn using traditional #DryFarming. Navajos relied on the stars to know when to plant and sometimes planted in spirals, according to Navajo elders in Rock Point, Arizona.

that no research be done on Raytheon's missile plant at the farm or any possible pollutants discharged from Raytheon."
