Until 2019 part of the United States nuclear command system relied on eight inch floppy disks, the same kind used in computers from the 1970s. The machines were never modernized because they were isolated, stable, and impossible to remotely hack. When the story became public, people were shocked that some of the most dangerous weapons on Earth were controlled by technology that looked like it belonged in a museum. It turned out the old gear had one major advantage. You cannot infiltrate a network that does not exist.
