Did the first batch of drybrushing on the #terrain pieces. It's rough, uneven and the drybrush was a little too wet because I wanted to finish quickly.
But that's exactly the "fast and good enough" standard I was aiming for. Cheap materials from the hardware store, quick and dirty work. 😁

A load of terrain pieces on a table - they are dark grey with a drybrush effect in a lighter effect, accenting all edges and raised surfaces, giving more depth to the structures and textures.
Next to them is a plastic squeeze tube of acrylic paint and a large cosmetic brush.

I got some replica ancient Greek coins in for use with tabletop gaming. I got 5 made in Italy (Left) and 5 made in China (Right). The Italian made ones do feel more authentic, but both are pretty good.

I got some new miniatures in today. One dragon that I will paint up for my fantasy army the Order of Heimdallr and some animals to improve some characters with a bit of fantasy flair for my Hellenistic army.

So I built a bone golem. Made from skeletons. Just because. Silly but fun. XD #Wargaming #TabletopWargaming

Aaaand good enough! The Norse Explorers warband I decided to name 'Toksvig Masculinity', for #Mordheim.

First time trying to do all metal in #NMM (and let the record show that my time and energy were at 5 of 100% lol).

(Not looking for suggestions for improvement in any way btw)

One ulfwerener standing around confused, one jarl tooting his horn, two berserkers swinging their giant battle axes, two bondsmen swinging their swords around, three archers arching their archery stuff, and one marauder looking quite a bit like a bondsman. The last marauder is waving around a big ass flag which I did not like painting and which shows.

Had a bunch of cardboard and greyboard scraps, so I started making some scatter #Terrain.

Gonna add some sand and stuff and tomorrow they can be painted.

Six pieces of scatter terrain, representing ruined walls and rocky outcroppings, made of scrap cardboard glued to greyboard bases and covered in PVA and tissue paper.

tl:dr: Fuck yeah, papermaché and its variants for #TabletopWargaming #Terrain, it's fun, relaxing, cheap and gives cool results.

Have I posted about my recent #TabletopWargaming #Terrain building obsession yet? Not sure, so here goes.

Plastic waste in weird-but-cool shapes are a classic in the modelling hobby, because basically free and yay, shapes! But the material used for them is often hard to use in a build: Difficult to glue, needing sanding or heat-treatment, or you gotta work with hot glue. (Which I dislike, in parts because I keep misplacing my glue gun.) Also, if you use the cool-shaped piece of plastic, it's gone, unless you buy the same thing again!

(And how many tubs of Ricotta does one really need...)

So I've experimented with using the containers not as components but as molds for parts that are then used as components. That way, I get to use cool shape and still have cool shape!

A very concrete-looking piece of terrain, shaped like a tapered cone, with industrial looking ridges on its side. It's been painted black and then drybrushed in white. The mild it was made from was originally a Ricotta packaging.A rectangular slab-shape, with lots of ridges along the line, giving it a alien or SciFi vibe. It was made from a mochi container used as mold. The two terrain pieces next to each other, along with two partially painted SciFi soldiers for scale. The slab is just a bit lower than a mini, and the cone is almost twice as tall.
