This has been a bit of a mental block for me. I put in the shoulder pads, thought “they’ll do”, put in the lining and THEN decided that “no they fucking won’t!”, so I spent a miserable hour adjusting them through the 5” opening on one side of the lining. FML!

Also the buttons, including a 2nd in front which wasn’t part of the original plan, but improves the fit so much I think it’s worth the sacrifice of simplicity.

Grey wool single breasted blazer. It’s got interested slanted pocket flaps. Above the waist (and the sleeves) it’s actually a black and white prince of wales with a red overcheck. Below the waist a simple black and white houndstooth.
