It’s a tatted “atom”.
My “atom” pattern is found in the book “Up and Tat ‘Em”. I used Liz Metallic thread size 20 for this one, blocked it out with pins and steam. It’s holding the shape nicely!

The classic “atom” symbol (some say it’s the Bohr model or solar system model) made of tatted lace. The center bead represents the nucleus, the small beads represent the electrons. This pendant is aqua in color with silver beads, about 2 and 1/4 inches (6cm) in diameter, on a thin necklace chain of stainless steel.

I’m still tatting leaves.

wasn’t my cup of tea so I tried instead. That works for me! This is my second attempt at a simple bracelet. The first still had a lot of mistakes, but I think this one is good enough to wear.

Finished sewing the tatted lace edging onto my jeans jacket. This has been a work in progress for some time, as seen by all the floral designs and butterflies in tatting sewn onto it. I think it may have enough ornamentation now… but we’ll see!
