1916 by Sabaton is such a sad song. I grew up hearing all kinds of stories about WWII* and I don't know exactly what it is, but this song brings those emotions closer to reality than the stories ever did.

I'm emotionally incontinent. By the time I get to the end of my viewing of "It's A Wonderful Life" later this week I will be a desiccated husk.
But I struggled to think of a song guaranteed to make me cry. Eventually I re-listened to this country inflected tune &, yes, my lip did quiver. If I'd been drunk, & maudlin, it would've been a done deal.
SKY SMEED - LUNKER BASS
An idyllic yesteryear; the passing of time; loss. All crammed into a simple 2 minute song about fishing. How has this got < 5k views in 7 years? Pah.
I am, by nature, a traveller. I don't care to stay in one place very long, but if I have to then I like to be able to get out, branch out, and go. But I always hated the concept of a hometown. Probably because I hated my hometown.
Once, I loved my mom. Unlike the concept of a hometown, I still like the idea of my mom.
This is the first song to ever make me cry.
