Streetartwall. An impressive mural (15.15 meters high and 9.5 meters wide) of a captain holding up a lantern was sprayed/painted on the outside wall of a multi-storey tower block. It unites two artists with different styles. The lively comic style by Hombre Suk with clear graphic elements by "The Cut" (Peter Stöcker). At the center is a maritime figure - a bearded, tattooed captain with a pipe, holding up an old lantern. The background is formed by colored geometric surfaces, small circles and white arcs that begin in the pipe and extend across the surface to the lantern.
Info: Peter Stöcker, Bremen artist and owner of the urban art agency "Lucky Walls", has realized an impressive art project with several well-known street artists under the motto "Meet each other". The design of the mural by "Hombre Suk" focuses on the power of encounters and exchange, both on a creative and social level. The mural is to be understood as an appeal to approach the unknown with courage and openness.

London's #Lambeth Council has decided to retain and make permanent the traffic filters and parklets on #TheCut (a road near Waterloo that links the Old and New Vic Theatres).

Further traffic filters to be installed via new order in Ufford and Webber streets behind the Old Vic to tame rat-running.
