November 6. #TheDayAfter. PATH and some subway trains were down in the evening. Some skipped school, be it for staying up too late, grieving for the loss, or just the transit stuff. Work seems to have stopped, at least for my classes. My only class for the day - Software Engineering I, 6 to 8:30pm - had only 1/3 attendance and ended way early. My friend in another program said even some profs were absent. A #surreal day, for that unique experience being in a country where a rite has gone wrong.

Truth be told, I don't think my parents could keep up with me when it came to reading.
They'd introduce me to a book series & I'd rip through it in days/weeks (I mean, what was I supposed to do ... study for class? pah, that's just crazy talk).
And, you know, they had to do adult things. Like go to work. And deal with a kid whose report cards perpetually said "doesn't apply himself and/or doesn't pay attention"
