Ok #linux peeps... help me out.. Looking into my new #thelio astra and can't make out what these 2 GPUs are..
One is clearly an a400, but whats the bigger single fan one above it?
Oddly it doesn't even have display hookups.
What is it? haha
@soller @mmasnick @system76 @carlrichell Just started using Pop Cosmic Alpha 6 as my daily driver on my Pang15. Whoa! Lighting quick. Cosmic store is superlative - so quick.
Super grateful to the entire team at #system76 for everything you do.
My #amd #thelio bought back during COVID days is still humming strong.
The pang15 aluminum chassis rocks.
Thank you!
Absolutely bonkers reception for the new #framework releases.
Now to figure if I want a #thelio still or go all in one these crazy things. 😁

For a few years I have enjoyed my #Plantronics RIG 800HD wireless headset.
https://www.riggaming.com/800-pro-series #RIG800HD
I have used them with various Linux distros, including a Chromebook, and they work great. Well, there was a niggle.... occasionally they would cut out, turn off, then come back on. At times it was annoying, but I could never figure out the cause.
Recently I installed #Solus #Plasma6 on the #System76 #Thelio desktop, and I have been having ZERO issues. In fact I truly believe the sound is superior to what I have heard before.
I love music and I am going through a wonderful experience!!
Here is my relevant system details from inxi:

Yeah, I am running WAY beyond my regular time.
Was up late last night bringing #Solus #Linux back to my System76 #Thelio, rocking #KDE #Plasma 6. Of course I am still working on fine tuning all the settings!
Don't worry @present_arms, I plan to reinstall #PCLinuxOS #Trinity back onto one of my laptops. I had fun with your Community Release.
Also, intentionally slept past time, and had a good long shower! (You are most welcome.)
Last evening I had wonderful fellowship with our Church Men's D-Group, meeting virtually via Google Meet. https://mycpointe.com/dgroups/
What a great bunch of guys.
Today at the #FoodBank I shall continue to request, and coordinate truckload donations of food and supplies to assist our #Kentucky neighbours in the flooding disaster.
Looking forward to #TheBugcast at 16:30 - https://thebugcast.org/live/
Always a great time in the Telegram chat listening to the live show.
Keep safe y'all.
Heading to work.
Shall have my first #Coffee there - living life on the edge, driving without caffeine!

I can appreciate the humor in my modern fancy System76 #thelio dying while... Working on a silly 16bit DOS game with @cyningstan 's CGALIB.
I guess I need to drag out the Tandy then.

I needed to replace my #Linux #Gaming desktop machine, and wanted an all-#AMD system.
I started out leaning towards a #Tuxedo machine, but shipping costs ate into my budget.
This is not Tuxedo's fault, they make excellent hardware, it's just a function of them being based far enough away from me that shipping is a real factor.
In the end, I went with a #System76 #Thelio.
I don't have to think about my system at all. Want to play game X? Buy it, install it, play it.
Thank you @system76
Ok, after previous weeks of troubleshooting the #Thelio 's power switch slide connector and thinking it was fixed (after filing the case for tighter tolerance), it's back to refusing to power on. This is starting to feel like hardware I get from #pine64. That is, in the latter, I know I'm signing myself up for firmware tweaks, soldering, and other fun. But that's exactly what I didn't want in my new daily driver. Especially not today.
Give me a hardwired rocker switch any day.
Been eyeing a #thelio workstation from #system76 to use as a hypervisor for #bhyve VMs. Cool company; like to support them if I can. Looking at one of the AMD (threadripper) models. And possibly doing CUDA work on a dedicated VM. Compute, not gaming. Has anyone gotten GPU pass-through working on bhyve with the #nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 card they are shipping on #FreeBSD ?
