Enjoying my 2nd cup of coffee this morning as I make a list of projects for today. We have 4 contractors coming in over the next 2 weeks, and I've got prep work to get ready. Nothing too strenuous or stressful as the bulk of the tasks are done. These projects (staircase, Murphy bed, closet organizers, and eavestrough) will also use up most of our contingency funds we gained from our downsizing earlier this year. Back to boring old budgeting.

Up early before the rest of the humans this Saturday morning. It's cool and overcast and I'm enjoying tea and Utopia for Realists by Rutger Bregman. Plans for the day include picking various family members up to take them to work, to the supermarket, and back home. I may also do some weeding if my back is OK with that. I'll consult it later once I've been food shopping. I want to catch up with a local friend so I'll message her later, too. And I owe some emails to my parent in law and two Perth friends...

The bath has a hole in it. We knew this and patched it and it was great, but now the patch is failing. Problematic for a bath. Nothing for it, we will have to get a new one installed. That's a job for Tuesday (it's a long weekend here, and although I'm working Monday, plumbers won't be). This means a phone call and talking to people and spending money. I'm trying to remind myself that this is what savings are for, and I'll be so happy once it's done.

I'm navigating soreness and other health stuff a fair bit at the moment. It's niggling and distracting rather than completely debilitating, but still requires some energy and All The Tests, if I want to feel better. With Dad's recent health challenges, I'm reminded again how I should take care of this stuff now rather just trying to ignore it and hope it'll go away when I'm older. It probably won't!

Pacing myself through the day today. It's been a busy week and next week will be the same, so these two days are breathing time. I hope you all get some breathing time this weekend too.

I also spent some time today playing around with #Tududi and #TaskTrove. I like the look and feel of Tududi, but the features and functionality of Task-Trove. I think once Tududi becomes more mature it could be a real contender for replacing #Things.
