I got the last book I needed of #Tolkien's that was published in his lifetime! The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and now finally The Adventures of Tom Bombadil!

If you've not read it, it's a collection of #poetry in the #LotR universe. I do like to rile up other Tolkien fans that the #Silmarillion is a compilation of notes of questionable canonicity while this was very much intended to be published as-is (all in good humour, I love the Silmarillion as much as the next nerd).

Because of the Nine Hikers in LotR, the Stockholm Tolkien Society celebrates nine-year anniversaries. Next year is the 54th one. I haven't been an active member in a quarter century. But I've volunteered for the anniversary festivities as a dishwasher, table-top game instructor and book circle organiser.
