Your question doesn't exist in a vacuum.
The "just a simple question" was so unpleasant that the person would rather block you than communicate.

Interesting article - including the term "expressive crime" for what we previously would have just called football hooliganism - it does make some sense, but if youths are joining the local sportsball club in the ambition of one day ending up at White Hart Lane, is that not still feeding the same problem (and what if you don't care for sportsball?)
I still think more needs to be done about "lad culture" and #toxicMasculinity which feeds a lot of the #crime in #London (and elsewhere!)
