Brief recording of a favourite songster this morning: White-rumped shama. A lovely mellifluous sound. First, single notes, then it heard another bird calling (you can hear it in the distance); three short phrases then four longer ones, each one slightly different. Back to single notes, for reasons best known to the bird, at the end of the recording. Too bad a tractor decided to pass at the same time. The panting is one of my dogs, not me.

"Ensinger Fahrzeugbau" was a German mechanical engineering company based in Michelstadt/Odenwald (Germany/Hesse). It originated from a vehicle trading business founded in 1902 and, after the Second World War, began manufacturing irrigation machines and wheeled and tracked tractors for agriculture under the Ensinger brand. Due to low sales figures, the company was closed in 1954 after producing around 350 wheeled tractors and 20 tracked tractors.
