With the power of openHAB and Zigbee2MQTT I programmed an IKEA STYRBAR to
- change the brightness and color temperature of all living room lights or change the volume of the Echo if the TV is off
- act as play/pause/forward/rewind/volume remote and control the dynamic lights depending of the play/pause status of the Fire TV/cable receiver/bluray player if the TV is on

Hat jemand schon mal Scripte in #HomeAssistant für IKEA #Tradfri Leuchten geschrieben?

Habe bisher damit keine Erfahrung, suche ganz einfach "Wenn Button gedrückt wird, setze Helligkeit auf x%" (ab liebsten noch mit Fading), aber irgendwie scheint das nicht vorgesehen zu sein.

Ich kann ein/ausschalten, Startup-Werte festlegen, Wert erhöhen/verringern, etc. aber keinen konkreten Wert angeben. 🤔

Steuere die Lampe direkt über Zigbee, nicht zigbee2mqtt oder Ähnliches.

Reading about people having fun with very cost-accessible #smarthome products from #IKEA candidly sends me into a “what if…” train of thought.

I know someone well-placed at IKEA who once offered to make some introductions if I’d consider relocating to Malmö (I.e. to work there) but I’m at a place in my life where it’s not just my decision. I have four amazing women (partner + daughters) in my life who would be hugely impacted by me relocating to another country.

Ironically one of those daughters is now grown and lives a short transit ride away from IKEA HQ in Sweden. 🥴 But she was always (the only one) encouraging me to explore the opportunity.

I recently caught up with my friend in IKEA and we didn’t talk much about it. But I think I really would have loved being part of the smart home product team there, if the interest proved to be mutual.

(And it turns out there’s a lot to be said in favor of living in Sweden, too…)

Somewhere in the multiverse I’m living my best life bringing new Smart Home products to market and figuring clever ways to pull the cost of entry down so more people can benefit from smarter homes. I still have maybe 15 years left before I “retire”, so maybe I’ll get to scratch that itch somehow before my tech work tapers off.

I guess you could put #Sonos devices in a different VLAN than your client devices, BUT...

It has to be wired...😅 I've been trying to do that for a wirelessly connected speaker and I could not see it from my mobile/computers...

I don't know if it was some kind of interference between #ZHA and #Ikea #Tradfri, but I started observing Ikea gateway dropping devices.

I've ditched the Swedish thing altogether and re-paired everything to my own #HomeAssistant instance.

Now... LED kitchen drivers were easy. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to do a bunch of old Tradfri outlets, but #Rodret remotes were a nightmare and it took me hours to pair them...

Nebenbei habe ich noch die Steuerung der Küchenlampen von #tradfri zu #Shelly getauscht. Auf meinem iPhone funktioniert es - auf dem meiner Mutter zeigt es an: Steckdosen sind nicht im wlan. Es kann man da tun?

Somewhat relieved that Phil mentioned that on the latest @homeassistant podcast that he has random entities with no history data or stats. This was happening to me a few months ago with #IKEA #tradfri motion sensors. I didn’t do anything about it though and a few weeks later, they had history. 🤷 #HomeAssistant #selfhosted

Puh, 2/4 #Ikea #Tradfri Steckdosen sind schon hinüber, eine klackt ständig im Betrieb (soll sie eigentlich nur bei an/aus), die andere ist nicht mehr ansprechbar. War die erste Serie, siehe Foto im Link, scheinbar hat Ikea jetzt andere.

Just replaced old #Ansluta drivers with #Ikea #Tradfri and it worked, just like that!🥰

Anybody else having issues with their Tradri hub (the original one)? My lights are not responding to Google Assistant at the moment.

Looking at various logs I think it might be having problems resolving a NTP server. My local DNS is logging failure to connect to some of pool.ntp.org's DNS servers

Der #Shelly H&T Gen3 ist das unzuverlässigste Dings in meinem #Homeassistant Setup. Was beeindruckend ist, da ich bisher schon von den #Sonoff Sensoren und den #Tradfri Geräten richtig genervt bin.
Den #Shelly muss ich mindestens einmal am Tag vom Strom trennen. 😡

Im Flur hab ich nen #ikea Bewegungsmelder an das Flurlicht mit ner #tradfri Led Birne E27 960lm 💡 gekoppelt- soweit so gut; seit einer Woche stellt sich das Licht aber auf genau 1% Helligkeit 🔆 statt wie bisher den vorherigen Wert von ~80%.

Ich bin sicher das ich das mit den 1% mal irgendwo im Handbuch gelesen habe, finde es aber nicht mehr.
Batterien im Sensor hab ich schon getauscht. Keine Änderung.
Online Handbücher gibt’s nur noch von den Nachfolger Modellen.

Ideen?

Every single time a battery needs to be charged in an IKEA smart blind, a 45 minute circus of futile resets of every device involved in the process ensues as everything has to once again be re-configured from scratch. A device which five minutes ago was talking to a hub now will completely refuse to communicate with it. And this has been the state for years over dozens of software updates, it’s apparently how IKEA intends this ecosystem to work. It’s absolutely maddening.

Endlich!
Ich habe lange an meiner Lampensteuerung gebastelt und bisher immer #Homebridge auf meinem Server nutzen müssen, um die #Tradfri Lampen über die #Hue Bridge in #Apple #Home anzeigen zu lassen.
Mir war nichg klar dass ich das Home-Update durchführen musste, was zwar ein paar alte Geräte (Watch 3, und ältere iPhones) rauswirft. Jetzt haben wir als ältestes ein iPhone 8 im Einsatz, damit geht das endlich. Meine Heimbeleu htung läuft jetzt über Matter. Endlich. #Matter #SmartHome #Philips

I bought a new #Zigbee USB Stick #CC2531 since my old one is out of order. I know how to pair a single #Tradfri #LED with the stick. But I cannot remember how to pair a group. I just see that in my configuration is a group of LEDs.
