Last Week Tonight, John Olivers wöchentliche Themenshow in den USA mit viel Witz und guten Fakten hatte gestern das Thema "Trans Athletes".

Sehr schön zerlegt in die irrationalen Pseudo-Argumente, fehlende Evidenz, den Haufen Lügen und erfundene Dinge, die gewollte Grausamkeit gegen vor allem gegen transweibliche Kinder und Jugendliche im Breitensport, und schliesslich den eigentlichen Hintergrund: Diese Leute wollen einfach überhaupt keine trans Personen irgendwo. Trans Personen sollen am besten überhaupt nichht existieren und falls doch, dann aus allem ausgeschlossen werden. Der Rest sind vorgeschobene Pseudoargumente.

Das Video erfordert leider eine Menge (US-)Englischkenntnisse. Ich hab es mir auch auf 80% verlangsamt, weil Oliver viel schneller spricht als ich hinterher komme.

Lohnt sich aber, falls eins mitkommt. Es muss auch nicht jeder Gag verstanden werden. Die präsentierten Fakten allein sind schon prima.

It’s been two years of Emily’s journey with TRUK and our personal lives followed by the TRUK film crew and it’s now a short film 🤩. It’s has been an absolute honour to give our time to this fantastic project and to be followed by a crew of LGBTQ people and massive allies we knew we were in safe hands. They have done an exceptional job of telling this story, it’s honest, beautiful and joyful. We are going to be away from next week and will be helping to promote the film for a couple of weeks. A huge thank you to my oldest two kids for holding things down at home while we do this, I couldn’t do this without their help. I’ve now got to put ALOT in place to manage my mental health to be able to have the energy and strength to do this. There are a lot of unknowns I’m going to have to navigate and it’s a lot of advocacy for us both. I also have Emily’s safety and education to manage so I need to ensure I have the resources for that. Interview invitation for Master's thesis research

Hi, my name is Linda Bardeggia (she/they) and I'm a student at the German Sport University Cologne, where I am studying for a Master's in International Sports Development and Politics. With my Master's thesis, I want to explore the experiences of non-cisgender people in amateur sports and physical activity. Research on this topic is limited, and it often doesn't consider the perspectives of those who experience it first-hand. Through one-on-one interviews, I would therefore like to understand how non-cisgender identities interact with sporting practices, spaces, communities, and cultures, as well as what specific barriers and facilitators characterise their experiences of sport.

Suite à mes interrogations, j’ai eu accès au règlement sportif de la FFC. Il stipule noir sur blanc que les femmes transgenres n’aillant pas entamé une transition médicale avant ses 12 ans 🤯 ne peut prétendre à une licence féminine. Ce qui veut dire dans la majorité des cas que ce sport est inaccessible.
On notera aussi le nombre incroyable de conditions dans le cas d’une transition MtF.

Does anybody know why the Team Trans Ice Hockey draft tournament Twitch stream went down after 10 minutes of streaming and the Team Trans channel is now temporarily unavailable due breach of TOS or community guidelines?

Not on Twitter and socials other than FB and here and there's nothing on this there I can find.
