Das Foto im Hochformat zeigt - dicht an einen mächtigen Baumstamm geschmiegt und die Kamera dem Stamm folgend gen Himmel gerichtet - das gewaltige Blätterdach des Baumes. Der Stamm nimmt am unteren Bildrand mehr als die Bildbreite ein und verläuft dann in der Höhe bis etwas über das Bildzentrum hinaus, wobei sich der Stamm perspektivisch verjüngt. Der Weg zum riesigen Blätterdach der Krone wird nur kurz von einer kleinen Kolonie Baumpilze in der Bildmitte unterbrochen.
