It's been a long time since I had #coreboot 'd a laptop! Thanks to the awesome
folks from the Skulls project, I was able to free my #thinkpad X230 BIOS, replacing the
network card and eventually having a functional system for #trisquellinux , including working WiFi!

A #raspberrypi running #Alpine #Linux was used for the flashing of the two memory chips.

Feels good to have a fully #libre machine!

Seule vraie solution, un #oslibre type #gnulinux (ex: #trisquellinux ) et des #logicielslibres (UNIQUEMENT #libre) sur un pc équipé de #Libreboot
Et utiliser des #webservices respectueux de la #vieprivee (en plus des #gafam il y en a d'autres)
Et sur votre #webbrowser préféré (#firefox pour moi ou #abrowser sur #trisquel) j'ai ajouté #privacybadger et #ublockorigin

Reste à trouver un #librephone digne de ce nom.

A few weeks ago I made the decision to go for the #comptiaaplus exam to lock in basic concepts of what computing really is. #dmidecode really helped me relate the cpu, motherboard, bios, chassis etc., in my own #linux machine to the course material. #trisquellinux #technoethical #foss #coreboot #libreboot

Well I use #trisquellinux, which is #foss and prefers/accepts only free open hardware, that's why my laptop's wifi-card does not work, but my @Fairphone 3 with the #ungoogled os by @e_mydata is an excellent #tethering machine.

I'm happy.

(Never had any problems with drivers and different #Linux distros)
