I use #phosh from #debian #trixie on a OnePlus6 that is running #mobian as my daily driver. Even phonecalls work now :) And #postmarketos just managed to get the speakers working on the #fairphone 5! It's so amazing to see what happens @ #mobilelinux each day!

And of course it feels great to support this work! So between buying presents for your loved ones, don't forget to consider the projects you love.

#debian online upgrade from #bookworm to #trixie on a #raspberrypi Model B Rev 2 (GA in 2012) works like a charm but takes some time. :-D

Ich hatte ein Debian stable (trixie) mit KDE aufgesetzt, mir passend erscheinende Metapakete aus dem Edu-Projekt installiert, und dann noch ein bisschen aufgeräumt und Shortcuts angelegt. Das hat mehr als gereicht.

Wie erwartet, müssen eigentlich nur der Browser und LibreOffice funktionieren.

@jakob Naja, jeder #provider offeriert dir heute natürlich auch noch immer ein #oldstable für deinen #vps, nicht ohne Grund, denn, wie wir wissen, sind die ja auch noch immer und darüber hinaus noch länger stable. #debian eben.

Von #bullseye zu #bookworm war es für #yunohost ein großer, verständlicher Weise auch ein beschwerlicher Schritt.

Aber das haben die geschafft. Und so werden die auch den Übergang zu #trixie bewältigen.

Wir nutzen es für den Freundeskreis und die Mitglieder im #Verein und deren Freunde.

Du kannst natürlich auch je "eine VM für einen Dienst" aufsetzen.

I have a confession to make: I just installed the #Debian #Forky deb of OpenSMTPd 7.8.0 on a #Trixie system.

(OTOH, OpenSMTPd isn't too needy as far as dependencies are concerned)

I have just been struggling for some time to get my #displaylink usb dock to work with #debian #trixie.

I just succeeded, but it includes non-free packages and weird scripts. I'll probably do a quick write up, so I know how to do it next time.

Do we alternatives to displaylink over USB?

Yes, we can do hdmi/display directly, but I like my dock with ethernet and usb stuff connected nicely, so I only have to connect one cable to my laptop.

Installed Debian on an old laptop. As usual, it went smoothly. I also want to have Samba on it. I've done this before on other Linux machines, so I thought it would be a piece of cake. Well, that turned out to be disappointing. Until I realised that, in addition to Samba and autofs, I also needed ciftools.

I could write down everything I did, but I won't be able to find those notes again next time.
