First time I've ever seen a square #tree #trunk.

A cross section of a mature recently fallen tree that has been cut into smaller sections prior to uplift. The tree is a large, tall multi-columnar species, possibly a Lombardy Poplar. The trunk in the image is one that grew within the centre of the tree columns and as such, it has an almost a perfectly square cross section.
