Turkeys gave us a surprise visit this morning. I was fixing my front door porch light and turned around to see this!! There were more around the corner of the house and off photo but they're are at least a dozen turkeys just moving about in our neighborhood. #turkeys #selfie #fall #birding

We see a lot of wild turkeys around here, so I suppose it was just a matter of time before an albino strolled by. But this is the first time I've seen one.
There is a second cluster of 8 to 10 younger turkeys that showed up this afternoon, so we may have a big winter flock! I’m not sure what the joining rituals are; right now, the two groups are pretending that the meet-up is accidental. “Oh, are you here? We were just headed, um, um, down to the lake. Yeah that’s it, down to the lake. Didn’t mean to intrude. Nice weather, eh?”
