I'm too busy and important to be slightly inconvenienced by this but the leftist media doesn't seem to care about my feelings."

Picture 5 - Tweed: "It is a hateful attack on the people who have given their all for this country, selfless investors, gritty entrepreneurs, courageous nepobabies waiting patiently for mother and father to leave them mines and investment firms." Bechamel: "They don't warn you that being in a network of wealthy people you went to private school with is like a full time job!"

Picture 6 - Tweed: "No doubt a squad of jackbooted thugs from the tax office will descend upon us with tweezers and microscopes to rip the very heart out of this family's finances - family's maybe as much as $3000 dollars a year or more! The accountants will tell me after we get back from Paris." Bechamel: "oh my god! how much will we have left?" Tweed: "Literal millions. But it's the principle! Sadly this is just the beginning."

Still Clean

It’s Tuesday. The mold was cleaned off of my guitar amplifier on Sunday and it still looks clean. Another day sans-mold.

Success, I Think

Go back in time two posts and look at the picture I shared of my Fender Bassbreaker 18/30 amplifier with something that appears to be mold covering the imitation tweed. I don’t know where that came from. I don’t know why it’s on that amplifier but not on either of the other two Bassbreaker products I own (the Bassbreaker15 watt amp and the 1×12 extension speaker cabinet).

It’s gross.

I found a post on reddit that suggested using white vinegar to clean off whatever that mold looking shit is. I guess mold growing on tweed amps is a thing? I’ll share a screen shot of the post here:

I went grocery shopping today and picked up a bottle of white vinegar. I just finished sponging off the amp and it looks like it worked. I am mostly pleased with the results. The only negative I can see at this point (assuming whatever that shit was doesn’t just grow back immediately) is that now my amp smells like vinegar… and so does my cellar… and so do I. Oh well.

It looks good so far though.

In 1950 the company released the Esquire, a thin body, fast neck electric that wouldn't feedback when played at volume of dance halls. Adding a second pick-up in '51 we had the Broadcaster which became the Telecaster. Still one of the most popular electric guitars for any genre.
