I have been on Mastodon “officially” for a couple years but only at this instance and active for a year. Time for an anniversary #introduction redux.

Where is everyone at in terms of social media platforms? I finally received my BlueSky invite code but it seems the exclusive club equals little interaction. Threads would be better if I could use a desktop version. Post and Spoutible are like my exercise equipment... dusty and unused. FB is fine for personal stuff. Mastodon seems to be one that has decent content, but I'm not a fan of the layout.

So, I finally deactivated my #twitter account to finalise my #twittermigation. In 30 days my account will be gone. However, in deactivating my account... It's disabled 2FA...wtf? How us my account now properly secured, especially now I'm no longer watching it.

@laravista First point will most likely not really change. Twitter is kinda evil, and is becoming more evil by the day. Now with those stupid rate limits. You can achieve more spread of your content on fediverse by using hashtags. Also add mastodon relays to your instance.
Depending on their requirements they could also use kbin.

Ps. There is also an app called PixelFed on the fediverse for posting images just like Instagram basically.. #pixelfed #mastodon #twittermigation #hashtag #relay

Acho muito curioso quando dizem que "no Mastodon não tem algoritmo" quando explicam a rede para alguém chegando na #twittermigation.

Tem algoritmo, uai: se você segue a pessoa , o mastodon mostra os posts dela ela na sua tela inicial. Se a pessoa está na mesma instância que você, ela aparece na sua TL local. Se a pessoa tá numa instância que a sua instância já viu, aparece na TL federada. Em ordem cronológica inversa.
