It's almost like we could really benefit from giving people a small income, enough to live on, so we could get the best from our creators without them having to struggle in poverty or give up.

We need UBI rather then this! UBI for unemployed oil workers, UBI for struggling farmers! UBI for EVERYONE (it's in the name)
And yet, you still haven't addressed the question. As I said, proponents of UBI seem to universally ignore even the possibility that anyone under #UBI would not be a productive member of society.
When pressed, they usually say "oh, that won't happen".
I can only say that their view of society would seem to be entirely #uncontaminated by exposure to #actual #people.
