@roman78 and that's pretty close to what I got, since #Bazzite is based off of #Ublue, which in turn is based off of #Fedora #Silverblue.
Now I'm running the standard workstation edition of Fedora - since I plan to promote it to the average user. Gotta run it myself before I can do that.
But, having used Silverblue for several years - until #NixOS - I can say that #immutable operating systems is the future.
But #Flatpak and #Flathub have some kinks to work out before that is the case - IMHO.
Since moving to #linux, I've been using #kde but I wanted to properly try #GNOME - it's opinionated nature has previously deflected me quickly.
An advantage of atomic #fedora #ublue #aurora distros is that a simple 'rpm-ostree rebase ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bluefin-dx-nvidia-open:latest' rebases you onto GNOME-based Bluefin, from Aurora. And the same is true of the inverse. And all of your files, Flatpaks and Homebrews come along. Very cool, and no bugs so far.

Given that Bazzite now as DX and GDX flavours, I've decided to give that a go in lieu of Aurora.
I don't expect there'll be a massive different between the two, but we'll see how we go and hopefully things won't fall apart.

This obsession the mainstream tech media is having with the softlaunch of a general steamOS image is bizarre. There's nothing steamOS does that can't be achieved with a lot of other distros, Fedora, uBlue/bazzite and arch friends.
Does even the IT media need their handheld by some corporate sponsor to do anything?

OK, what application do people use for #SDR with #HackRF on an #immutable container-based distro like #UniversalBlue?
I've tried the SDRAngel flatpak (can't get it to see my HackRF device) and the CubicSDR AppImage (doesn't include its dependencies in the image; won't launch). Went to build a couple of others from source and zomg the dependency hell. If there are other flatpaks or appimages that work, I'm all ears, but I didn't see too many on flathub.
Gonna try a VM next, though the HackRF docs suggest it won't work. Maybe that advice is stale.
I finally started building my own container image for #Fedora #Kinoite 42 with a `/nix` directory (only an empty directory).
Works. Only had to remove the dependency on the `nix-directory.service` from the nix.mount unit and now I have a populated /nix directory and everything is available again.

Has anyone tried running #universalblue / #ublue / #bluefin headless? I want to use it to run #k3s and #ollama on an AMD ryzen mini PC as a lab machine to play around with K8s and ollama at home to try things out that I don't often get to do at work. I know I can use the base ublue image but that looks like a PITA to install compared to just running bluefin headless

Same here, I have used exclusively GNU/Linux for 15+ years and I have used #uBlue Aurora DX for one year on work laptop with Nvidia GPU: completely new experience, it feels like GNU/Linux 2.0
