Went in for a TTE today, and was a bit salty as they initially told me (three months ago) the procedure would cost $700 and then the day before told me "haha surprise fuckwit, it's $2500, figure it out" since I live in the US and 50% of the cost of any medical procedure must go to enriching billionaires.
Then they forgot to bill me at checkin. Also, the tech was super cool and we talked about LoRa and how ultrasound propagates and what all the weird images on the display mean (and their name was basically the same name as mine, which was neat).
So I'm interested to see how this plays out. I guess I owe them <undefined> at this point.
(Also to be clear I have the money to cover this either way, please don't offer me money. If you want to help someone financially there are a lot of cool fedi folks who need help much more than me!)
