My #YouTube channel is gone now.
More precisely: I have removed all videos and asked YouTube to "delete all content", whatever that means. I couldn't find a clear option to delete my YT account. In any case, it's gone now for all intents and purposes, and will be cleaned up when I delete my Google account in a few weeks.
All my videos on YouTube have been deleted, much quicker than anticipated. Before removing them, I recorded all stats in a spreadsheet, saved all comments and replaced the embeds on my blog with the PeerTube versions.
In another week I'll remove that last info video and close the channel once and for all.
I've started deleting my videos on YouTube and added a simple video to explain that subscribers should come to PeerTube instead. In a few days Vintrospektiv will be largely Google-free.

This way lots of people will be saved from Google's tracking machinery.

Does anyone know where to get a #PineTab from? I'm in the EU and it seems to be surprisingly hard to get. All I can find is that one can import it from the US, but that currently might not be the best option. But I couldn't find anything on eBay/Kleinanzeigen and the like.

Detaching my (Vintrospektiv) self from Google is a more extensive process, as expected. I have changed my e-mail address (hopefully) everywhere to my main site - and really can't remember why I felt I needed a Gmail address in the first place. My book previews and the "In vintrospect" e-book have moved from the Google Drive to WordPress with the help of some plugins. But some larger parts are still open.
For the love of humanity... just say no.

Aber mal abgesehen vom absolut zynischen und militaristischen Hintergrund der Geschichte, ist das Statement für mich inzwischen zu einem geflügelten Wort geworden – für etwas, das eben nicht abgeschlossen ist, ganz im Gegenteil. Czy ktoś może poradzić jakąś działającą alternatywę do Formularzy Google? Najlepiej open-source, ale niekoniecznie, jeśli się nie da. Warunek minimum : dostawcą nie jest jeden z BigTechów i stosuje się do ochrony danych osobowych.
Ja korzystam z https://framaforms.org ale tam językiem komunikatów jest #francuski, a to dla większości ludzi ogromna bariera. Chciałbym przekonać znajomych do używania alternatyw do Formularzy Google.
