It is hard to think properly when under constant stress and fear of losing your #schoolie #skoolie vehicle which is also your home and/or losing your only runabout car to something as banal and bullshit as debt collectors or the cops spotting a lapse in insurance.

Hey @fedihelp and other #mutualaid beans, we (@Kuniti_shino & me) are in need of #fedihelp to cover our bills!

Since we became basically #homeless and living in an unready #skoolie project which is stuck in #DMVhell (anyone who works in the DMV, especially NJ or PA, please be in touch) we've been practically #unemployable on top of already having very eclectic CVs/resumés which algorithms and AIs hate.

We're doing all we can to make #Vulpibus #busconversion more complete for our #basicneeds & for @vulpinelabs for gene editing sys design & helping other #trans, #lgbtq #queer etc folks by sharing resources, providing a mobile rescue/safe space.

We have a small #EV for runabout which we got on finance before we lost jobs & apartment. Now every month we have car loan and insurance to pay. Vulpibus is paid off but its insurance is another matter.

Food & hardware keep putting us in the red.

*whelp* I guess this is what I get for getting my hopes up about that automotive locksmith job. I got passed over, after 3 interviews and a ride along. This was the closest I got to getting a job in a year now, it's hard to keep trying when this just keeps happening.

This was for the automotive locksmith job that I got fantastic advice from @deviantollam, that helped me get to the final stage of the process, but couldn't get me past that.

I'm just running out of energy to keep trying in my job search. Shit, I can't even get a interview at a local fucking grocery store, let alone trying to go back to Best Buy where I was previously. Hell, the temp/staffing agencies can't even place me. We need another income, and I just don't know what to do anymore.

I'm almost certain a part of my feeling unemployable is due to being trans, in the social climate that is Oklahoma, and the politicization of my existence, but like I just can't just say that's the only hurdle. There is obviously something else wrong with me or what I'm doing, I just don't even know what else at this point.

Just feeling so defeated. I need something to come through for me.

This month, former president Donald Trump appeared at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Gripping the lectern tightly, sweating profusely, with his pupils dilated, Trump told the crowd that if President Biden were reelected, their state would cease to exist.

He mentioned that he could be spending his Saturday afternoon doing something else.
(It was Friday night.)

He crowed about leading his opponent Barack Obama in the polls.

He slurred his words frequently as he veered off his prepared text and back again.

Not a single word about this appalling spectacle by a presidential candidate was published in The Post.

Why?

It seems like a big deal.

Unfortunately, during the rump era, the media, including The Post, conflated what is #new with what is #important.

Though it might not be new that Trump acts publicly in ways that would make him #unemployable in any other career field, it's extremely important given that he could soon be our commander in chief again.

Editors and reporters need to decide
what their mission is:

Is it to focus on what is #new and shiny,
or is it to concentrate on what's #important?
