Thankful to finally return to the #EarthDay service at my #UU congregation after two weeks away, even if I am finding myself still a little slow. Started the morning with some wonderful #uke practice where I actually a) had enough voice to sing all 4 songs and b) actually got most of the chords right. Things are definitely looking up more than they were.

The next 4 years will be rough for non-believers. In LA County there are a few UU locations, but two other groups I highly recommend is Atheists United and Sunday Assembly LA. They each have a bit of a different vibe which could be good for those who have religious trauma in their personal history. One of these groups may fit your vibe better than the others. While the new statement may seem radically different from our prior principles and sources, the truth is it builds on the foundation of what came before. At our core, we are a religion that existentially and ontologically believes transcendental Love is the ground of our being, and that no living being is left behind in this Love.
