Las Vegas Shakedown trades! I traded for these patches from @MissMelaMay (Instagram) and sewed them on some thrifted pieces. On the tan one, I also sewed fabric (the sun/face) from some patchwork pants that I re-patched about a dozen times before they finally became unwearable. I’ll get a lot more patches/scrap fabric outta those.

I made "upcycled" sweatpants, using 3 hoodies which were damaged and destined for the bin.

The pattern is custom, I drafted it for my measurements. YouTube tutorials helped a lot.

The color blocking is inspired by ThriftyTroutxMedeArt @ Etsy. I added orange accents, next time I'll push the color and details much further!

i tried to dye a coat yesterday and it failed however i'm trying it on another coat today. it's currently in the washing machine... this fabric should be better for this dye. however for the other coat im gonna need to find a hugearse cauldron or sth so i can actually fit it and boiling water in... :meowthink:

This handbag project has been on the shelf for a while (literally). THIS is the weekend to finish it. It contains a small bit of new fabric and some fabric paint but otherwise everything is recycled including:
1. A pair of jeans
2. A pair of dress pants
3. T-shirts (seven I think?)
4. Embroidery floss left over from another project
5. Fabric sunflower parts
6. Buttons from my 3-generation heirloom button collection
