Frage | Warum haben wir im Fediverse eigentlich diese hirnrissigen Bewertungsschema von wegen Daumen hoch (like) und Daumen runter (dislike) / Priorisieren und Favorisieren bzw Upvote und Downvote übernommen?

Ich meine das entspricht derart dem marktbasierten Konkurrenzdenken das man 🤮 könnte. Und ja da sind wir bei der Alternative, Emoticons! Ja ich weiß das geht grundsätzlich im Fediverse und damit kann man schnell seine Meinung sehr viel besser als mit den oben genannten Methoden ausdrücken, aber die meisten Fediverse Plattformen unterstützen es nicht oder nur teilweise. Warum das eigentlich? Ist doch sehr viel sinnvoller als die gängigen Lösungen.

The voice vote is considered the simplest and quickest of voting methods used by deliberative assemblies. The presiding officer or chair of the assembly will put the question to the assembly, asking first for all those in favor of the motion to indicate so orally (« aye » or « yea »), and then ask second all those opposed to the motion to indicate so verbally (« no » or « nay »). The chair will then make an estimate of the count on each side and state what they believe the result to be.

Reddit is uniquely positioned to do well here because it has a large userbase with a wide variety of very focused #subreddits. The large, general subreddits usually have pretty bland and even cringe content at the top of their feeds, but a smaller, knowledgeable community dedicated to a particular topic can use Reddit's #upvote system to very effectively boost quality content.
