It was a cold gray day warmed by the wonderful company of the indomitable @aaronberjohn. Thanks for such a fun shoot and being so patient as I tried to figure out how to work the camera and then waiting almost a year.

Aaron is a dear old friend and an excellent human being but it's still intimidating shooting a professional actor, I mostly just shoot landscape.

Test scans with an improvised tripod + mirrorless camera + non-macro lens is still significantly better and faster (after all the initial faffing) than the flatbed scanner. I'm excited to get the rest of the kit sorted. Photos from my first test roll on the Rolleiflex.

This is a shot that showed me that I made the right choice buying the Valoi medium format film holder. Ektachrome dries pretty flat anyway, but I could never quite get the edge sharpness right when I tried scanning it previously, probably due to phone camera lens distortion and inexeperience at this sort of thing.
